Regarding Dismissal
Article 49 – An enrolled student may be dismissed from the program in the following cases:
I – if they fail the same course twice or fail three different courses;
II – if they fail to register properly for two consecutive academic terms within the deadline set by the academic calendar established by the CoPGr;
III – if they do not pass the qualifying examination within the timeframes established in these Regulations;
IV – if they fail to complete activities or meet requirements within the regulatory deadlines;
V – at the student’s own request.
Sole Paragraph – The CCP may establish dismissal criteria in the Program Regulations based on unsatisfactory academic and scientific performance.
In accordance with the Program Regulations—and in addition to the rules established in the USP Graduate Studies Regulations—a student may be dismissed from the graduate program (whether in the Doctoral or Direct Doctoral track) if any of the following situations occur:
a) the annual activity report is rejected twice consecutively; or b) the annual report is not submitted by the deadline.
