A sua atua\u00e7\u00e3o inclui o estabelecimento das normas de atua\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa e dos crit\u00e9rios para sele\u00e7\u00e3o de ingresso de novos alunos, bem como a an\u00e1lise dos projetos de pesquisa em proposi\u00e7\u00e3o e dos processos para concess\u00e3o de aux\u00edlio financeiro.
